May 1, 2025

To adapt to the new situation of educational digital transformation and enhance the digital literacy and innovative capabilities of the counselor team, the 3rd session of the Counselor Reading Club, hosted by the "Seeking Truth" Counselor Growth and Development Studio of the Student Work Department of the Party Committee of Central China Normal University and co-organized by the School of Marxism and the School of Psychology, was convened on April 15th in Conference Room 409 of the Liberal Arts Research Building. The Reading Club specially invited Professor Wen Fangfang from the School of Psychology to deliver a special guidance session titled "Cognitive Leap and Intelligent Collaboration: DeepSeek Reshaping the Psychology of Scientific Research Decision-Making". Wu Jiancheng, Deputy Director of the Student Work Department of the Party Committee of Central China Normal University, Ding Yubin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Psychology, Xiao Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Public Administration, Su Chunyan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Education, Liang Fangyong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of History and Culture, and 10 full-time and part-time counselors from across the university attended the Reading Club, which was presided over by Shao Lili, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism.

At the beginning of the Reading Club, Professor Wen Fangfang from the School of Psychology of Central China Normal University shared on the theme of "Cognitive Leap and Intelligent Collaboration: DeepSeek Reshaping the Psychology of Scientific Research Decision-Making". She pointed out that against the backdrop of today's era, the scientific research model is gradually shifting from traditional laboratory collaboration to human-machine collaboration. To help counselors and young teachers make good use of AI tools in work such as scientific research project applications and academic research, she emphasized breaking through the "instrumental" mindset, regarding AI as a "partner" for dialogue, and actively exploring its application potential. Aiming at the common "difficulty in questioning" problem in practice, Professor Wen innovatively proposed a dynamic model of "Six Flowers and Six Questions": Begonia Question (Sensitive Inquiry to Ignite Thinking), Cherry Blossom Question (Iterative Renewal), Magnolia Question (Verification of Truth and Clarification of Reason), Peony Question (Establishing a Theoretical Foundation), Osmanthus Question (Accumulation to Form Fragrance), Cercis Question (Collaborative Progress). This model systematically explains the core logic of AI-empowered scientific research through visualized flower language imagery, and provides supporting practical operation guidelines to help everyone apply AI tools more efficiently. Finally, she stated that life is an art, and research is also an art—a process of personal growth and cultivation. She hopes that everyone can continuously cultivate and improve themselves through research.

Subsequently, during the interactive discussion session, the on-site learning atmosphere was strong and the interaction was enthusiastic. Teachers engaged in in-depth exchanges on key issues in AI applications, such as privacy protection, information screening and positioning, and local deployment, in combination with their actual work. Regarding concerns about privacy and security, Professor Wen suggested distinguishing usage scenarios: public information can be processed through public accounts, while content involving ethical privacy should be handled through personal accounts or local deployment to ensure data security. For the challenge of processing massive amounts of information, she proposed a three-step strategy of "goal-oriented - template debugging - personalized adaptation" to guide teachers in accurately positioning their needs. During the Q&A interaction, professional insights and practical experiences were fully integrated, continuously inspiring new work ideas.

The "Embracing the AI Era while Sustaining the Warmth of Education" series of Reading Club activities has not only injected the vitality of scientific research innovation in the AI era into the counselor team but also promoted the close integration of theoretical research and educational practice through deep interdisciplinary thinking collisions, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent deepening of the integration of artificial intelligence and educational practice and the cultivation of a high-quality counselor team. In the future, the Counseler Reading Club will continue to focus on cutting-edge educational issues, keep pace with the trends of digital development, continuously innovate activity forms, enrich discussion content, and sustainably build a high-quality platform for learning, communication, and ideological exchange for counselors, thereby assisting in the professional development and quality improvement of the counselor team.
