In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Culture and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important thoughts on building a leading cyberpower, and in accordance with the unified arrangement of the Student Affairs Department of the Party Committee, the School of Sociology organized a series of online security and cyber civility themed education activities in September. Through diverse forms, the school enhanced students' cyber literacy and safety prevention capabilities, achieving remarkable results.
01 Deepening Document Learning to Consolidate the Bottom Line of Cyberspace
The school attaches great importance to the institutional foundation of cyber civility construction. In the first ten days of September, each grade organized special learning sessions on the Central China Normal University Student Cyber Civility Code of Conduct (Trial) through evening roll calls, class meetings and other forms. Counselors, targeting students of different grades and combining with professional characteristics, made in-depth interpretations of the key provisions of the document, guiding students to understand the social norms and order construction in cyberspace. By learning the definition of disciplinary violations and the disciplinary procedures, students further strengthened their awareness of the rule of law and self-discipline, and clarified the red lines for online behaviors.
02 Innovating Educational Forms to Improve the Effectiveness of Education
The school adopted a combination of "centralized learning + independent study" and "online + offline" methods to carry out multi-level educational activities. During the National online security Publicity Week, all students were organized to watch the live broadcast of the "Anti-Fraud Lecture Hall", participate in the National College Students' online security Knowledge Contest, and the promotion and use of the "AI Campus Protection" intelligent assistant was carried out, allowing students to experience the supporting role of technology in online security through interactive participation. On the evening of September 21, the school further organized students to watch the special lecture on online security titled "Guarding the Security Line in the Digital Age", guiding students to understand the great significance of online security from the perspective of national security strategy. In addition, students of the school actively participated in the "Clear E-Space, Positive Youth Words and Deeds" online works collection activity. Combining their professional backgrounds, they created high-quality original micro-videos and other works, vividly conveying the concept of cyber civility from the perspective of young people.
In the last ten days of September, the school held a special anti-fraud lecture themed "Strengthening Anti-Fraud Awareness and Protecting the Youth's Wallet", inviting Police Officer Liu from Mafangshan Police Station as the keynote speaker. Combining the real experiences of students in our university who were deceived, Police Officer Liu adopted a "case + explanation" format to vividly analyze common fraud methods such as "telecom fraud" and "seductive brush - order fraud", and deeply revealed the key links where criminals break through the psychological defense line by using "sense of urgency" and "greed". At the lecture site, Police Officer Liu focused on imparting the anti-fraud principles of "do not trust easily, do not disclose information, do not transfer funds, and verify more", providing students with a practical anti-fraud guide.
03 Establishing a Long-Term Mechanism to Consolidate Educational Achievements
This series of themed education activities focuses on the combination of theory and practice, and the unification of knowledge impartment and value guidance. Through the promotion of policy learning, special lectures, anti-fraud education, online learning and other multi-dimensional efforts, students have further enhanced their understanding of the importance of online security, and improved their cyber literacy and self-protection capabilities. During the activities, the school paid special attention to the organic combination of anti-fraud warning education and cyber civility construction, guiding students to be not only practitioners of cyber civility, but also guardians of online security.
Taking this as an opportunity, the school will continue to deepen the construction of cyber civility, integrate online security education into daily management and services, build a normalized working mechanism, and guide the majority of students to strive to be communicators, practitioners and guardians of cyber civility, so as to jointly create a safe, healthy and civilized campus cyber environment.
